The Planet GSW-1600HP from Planet Technology is a great management switch for high power PoE network applications with stability of Gigabit speed transmission. The unit features stable Gigabit IEEE 802.3af PoE performance that operates to a maximum of 15.4W and IEEE 802.3at High-Power PoE (Up to 30.8W) on all ports.

It is also able to connect with one 16-Channel NVR or two 8-Channel NVR systems, uplink to backbone switch and the monitor center.
The dependable switch architecture permits recorded video files from the PoE IP Cameras to be saved in the NVR system. This provides users the ability to manage and control images simply in the local LAN and the remote sites.

The Idle mode Link Down power saving of the GSW-1600HP complies with Pre-IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) standard to automatically lower power for a given port when it is not linked. The Intelligent Scales Power technology actively determines the appropriate power level based on the cable length. When connecting to the GSW-1600HP with Ethernet cable shorter than 20m, a device can obtain maximum power saving because the GSW-1600HP would automatically detect the Ethernet cable length and reduce power usage. The connected device has the ability to cut down power consumption. This makes it an important factor in saving energy.
Simple Cable Installation and Connection
Planet GSW-1600HP has the ability to reduce extension cables and specialized power outlets in areas that are unreachable. The unit has the ability to reduce costs associated with installation. It also reduces the effort for installation. The unit’s RJ-45 copper interfaces support 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation to detect the best speed through RJ-45 Category 6, 5 or 5e cables. In addition, the unit supports the standard Auto-MDI/MDI-X that detects the type of connection to Ethernet devices without the requirement of crossover or straight cables.
